WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT MID-TERM RENTAL ARBITRAGE?
Midterm Rentals have a lot of different names: month to month rental, Airbnb monthly rental, extended stays, traveling-nurse model. It is the same for mid-term rental arbitrage; it may go by any of those names, but it all means the same.
What is a midterm rental arbitrage? Similar to short-term rental arbitrage, this rental model relies on someone renting out a place long-term (usually at least a year). They then 1.) furnish and 2.) sublease the property to someone else for shorter time periods (30+ days or more, but usually not for longer than 4 months.)
How do I get into midterm rental arbitrage? You need your landlord's consent to sublease for month long blocks. They are not going to care if you are subleasing for longer than this, but you need the consent to do it for at least a month.
How do I advertise a midterm rental arbitrage? Similar to your short-term rental strategy and your midterm rental strategy, you advertise your midterm rental arbitrage on the midterm rental sites: Airbnb, VRBO or Furnished Finder.
